Dudley J Primeaux II of Primeaux Associates LLC recently completed the required curriculum, examination and experience requirements and has achieved SSPC: The Society for Protective Coating’s Concrete Coatings Inspector (CCI) certification.
The certification portion of the CCI program certifies concrete coating inspectors in correctly observing, assessing, documenting, and reporting all relevant job data as determined by the specification and referenced documents. Certification attests to the professional credibility of the concrete coatings and linings practitioner and raises the standards of the profession through the development and dissemination of concrete knowledge, project specifications, surface preparation, coatings selection and assessment and documentation. The CCI program identifies and awards recognition to individuals who have an in-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of concrete coatings technology.
The CCI program requirements include education and documented years of experience in the concrete coatings industry, specified training requirements and examination, and professional references. This is then completed by comprehensive SSPC CCI written and practical instrument examinations, with an annual re-certification program.
Dudley’s CCI Certification adds to his list of accomplishments in the industry, including SSPC’s Protective Coatings Specialist (PCS) certification, named inventor of 26 US Patents, 6 European Patents and over 45 Technical Publications. The CCI Certification raises the bar on the level of training and services that are provided.
